Hi everyone! If you haven’t noticed, the blog has been a bit dormant this month because so many exciting things have been happening. I figured I’d keep everyone in the loop and do one big gushing update of all my adventures.
1. I’m currently in the process of redoing my blog site, compiling fascinating guest posts, and gearing up for my one year blogging anniversary in May. Be patient with me and begin to be enthusiastic for the future of KristaDalton.com.
2. SUBVERTING THE NORM! I’ll be presenting an extended paper version of this blog post, examining the function of cultural memory in liturgical rituals and trying to figure out where belief fits in. I plan on using the liturgical practices of IkonNYC as the model by which liturgy beyond belief can be enacted.
Later in the day, I will be moderating a panel of IkonNYC coordinators where we will discuss the concept, formation, and practice of Pete Rollins’ vision. Come prepared with questions!
Mark your calendars, grab the front row, and join me as we attempt to explore Subverting the Norm’s overarching question, “Can Postmodern Theology Live in the Churches?”
3. I’m moving! Well, in a few weeks I’ll be moving. In the meantime my house is a mess, boxes are piling up, and I have to content myself with visions of my future Steampunk abode. Yes, you heard me, STEAMPUNK!
Thanks for your patience over the next couple weeks as I revamp the blog, travel to Springfield, and move into my new fantastical apartment.
